Kieran is an experienced research consultant with a background in resilience and sustainable development. He has led projects for a range of development-focused clients including development banks, UN actors and iNGOs. In these projects he has gathered a wealth of experience working with different stakeholders in different environments and contexts including national and local governments, civil society, local communities and private sector actors.
Kieran has applied a resilience and sustainability lens to a range of different topics, including affordable, resilient and socially sustainable housing, resilient infrastructure and systems-thinking, and resilient and sustainable cities and communities.
He established SARDE as an organisation focused on action-focused research which can robustly collect and distil complex information across a range of contexts and themes, examining the intersect between economic, social and environmental issues and actions
